So Much Information
These days we are bombarded with information from an almost infinite number of sources and modalities – print, video, audio, physical, digital.
It seems someone or something is always telling you what
you should or shouldn’t be doing – or -
should or shouldn’t be thinking.
A lot of this information is negative, distressing and/or dis-heartening. A lot of it isn’t even true.
A lot of it is wonderful, encouraging and/or interesting - and truthful.
And truth be told, it is not possible for any of us to see, listen, or know it all.
Brevity and Light
Rather than adding to information overload, my intent is to offer brief topical posts on a broad range of subjects that affect our lives. Something short to start your day, or take a break, or end your day. Or anywhere in between. Topics to, perhaps, look at things - in another way. Perhaps a way you have not considered. Perhaps one you are already immensely familiar with.
Although our worlds are filled with many dark moments, I hope this will be one of light and encouragement – even on difficult matters. Mostly, I would like to focus on topics that are about things that are good for us, benefit us, encourage us and even humor us.
What is Your Path
What comes to mind is the poem by Robert Frost – The Road Not Taken. We always have choices. What path will you travel down? What will happen as a result? Often, the most well-worn path is not the best, or the most interesting. It is the pathway choices of our minds that affect our body and soul. So let’s consider things in another way to improve our health, lift our spirits, or allow us to merely be in the wonders of the outdoors and absorb its myriad of benefits.
In the words of Robert Frost:
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I ---
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Let us make a difference for ourselves and those around us …
… More thoughts from the forest to arrive in the coming days …

My Favorite Poem. Your posts provide an enjoyable respite in my day.
I absolutely love the simplicity of this, as one who is very easily overwhelmed. I'm looking forward to the next one!!
